For e-commerce I usually use Klaviyo + Shopify / WooCommerce. For SaaS, HubSpot or Customer.io. For B2B, HubSpot or Pipedrive. If your CRM is not on the list, send it over. I have probably worked with it already or can get up to speed quickly.
From about 300-500 subscribers, it already makes sense to launch a welcome flow and abandoned-cart logic. Below 300, the focus is usually list growth. CRM automation does not depend on list size and is worth setting up from the first lead.
